"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

Based on KtP's list, Talking Mickey is the same as the regular day Mickey? What happened to Mickey in his Christmas outfit?

Cinderella and Rapunzel started a new standby line. They actually were sending anyone before the party that just wanted the two princesses through the fastpass line.

Interesting, do you think in this situation (wanting to meet the princes and not having a FP for just the girls earlier in the day) we'd actually be better off ditching this FP for something else?

I'm doing one on Friday at the party.

Would love to hear how you like the dessert party! I've heard such negative reviews lately! I know the dessert party isn't advertised as being any different on MVMCP nights than regular park nights, but I'm hoping there are some holiday touches added!!

Does Duffy meet at the xmas party? I thought I saw somewhere that he does...but it's probably just wishful thinking.

No, he is gone from the parks. Which is odd because the resort TV still plays his bedtime story and says 'come meet Duffy at Epcot'. They even took him off the back of the float in the Christmas parade. But don't worry, Disney still allows you to buy the merchandise (my attempt at humor).

Thanks for the great recap!!

What was Mickey's Christmas outfit?

It was a subtle plaid type red and green vest, I don't have pics at the moment.

I haven't been before, what do you mean about lining up for wristbands? Did you already have your wristband?

Do the five characters meet individually or did you ask for all five in one picture? Are they normally not under cover?

I know Santa Goofy meets alone. The ducks, Scrooge Donald and Daisy meet together. I'm not sure if Minnie had a separate line or was with the ducks. They just met together because it started to rain so they all moved under the train roof. They usually meet out in the open in the splash area (it is turned off). So if you go to a party and it starts to rain...run for the circus area, you'll prob be able to get a great picture with all of them together.

Forgive me for not reading 90+ pages of posts, but I have a question re when to line up for characters/schedule. We want to meet: Jack Skellington, Dwarves, and Rapunzel/Flynn. We have the dessert party at 8:40 pm for Holiday Wishes, and we will watch the second parade. How would you schedule the M&G's to minimize time in line? I'm a little nervous because my younger dd has medical issues that can make embedded queue's a bit sketchy, but we are willing to give this a shot!

Thanks!

Jack Skellington will start at 5. Line up for him around 4:15/4:30. Once you are done with him go immediately to the dwarves line. You will be able to send the younger DD off with another party member to minimize the wait time. If those first two stops go to plan, you'll be done at 7:15 (this is what I did for the Halloween party with the dwarves and jack and sally, it worked perfectly). Next head to Rapunzel and Flynn and you should have an hour or less wait, which would get you ready for the dessert party and finished with characters. Don't wait until after the dessert party for Rapunzel and Flynn, their line does get cut early.

We definitely met plaid Christmas vest Mickey. Maybe some of the rooms he didn't have it on?

Anyone see or have any luck with a single-day/party Memory Maker?
I asked about them on the phone when I ordered tickets, but the girl I spoke with said she wasn't sure it would be available

This is my first year as an annual passholder and I saw that there is a event party t-shirt that says passholder on it. Are these t's on sale with the regular event t's and do you have to show your AP to purchase it?

You might want to. I mean, the interaction between the couples were some of my favorites. So I mean, I think you would have a lot of fun with the couples during the party instead of just the princesses.

Yes and yes. Or at least that was how it worked with the pass holder shirts at MNSSHP and Food&Wine

Is the party the only way to see the castle lit up with the Christmas lights or do they light it up every evening? Am I correct that the holiday parade is only during the party until the last party?

For the Halloween Party, Talking Mickey (in his Halloween outfit) met in the same place he does during the day. I'd assume it's the same for the Christmas Party.

Are the 7D in the parade? My DD wants to see them but we may get by without the M&G if she can see them in the parade.

It's lit every night, including before the party on party nights. The Christmas parade and fireworks are exclusive to MVMCP until the day after the last MVMCP.
