>> Shipping To & From Disney Resorts FAQ <<

Just ordered today from Amazon Prime..I signed up for their 30 days for free just to use the Prime Pantry...It's pretty cool...seen a lot of people on the boards having good luck with it. Filled a box and they had a special where you choose 4 certain items (things we will use on the trip-breakfast bars, etc..), added in our waters and got free shipping!!! Thanks for this post!

How far in advance can you send something?

I'm arriving the Saturday after thanksgiving but want to make sure it's there for my arrival.

FYI staying at the POP.

ETA: just saw he answer on FAQ disregard.... Sorry!

We have shipped to Pop Century several times with no problems, and picked it up right away. But the All Star Resorts are a different matter, we had huge problems on our recent trip with our UPS package. So fair warning, direct from the mouth of the manager of All Star Sports Resort:

All packages shipped to the All Star Sports Resort (and the other All Stars) are not kept on site but miles away in a warehouse. You must request your package at checkin and it can take up to 48 hours for them to find and deliver your package to you/your room.

If we had known this, we would have never shipped to the resort. I won't go into detail about our horrendous time, but I wish we would have known the above. So I hope this helps someone else.

Wow, so sorry you had such a terrible experience. That is definitely not the norm. We have shipped via UPS to all 3 All Stars in the past and our packages have always been waiting at Luggage Assistance. My In Laws are at Sports right now, arrived yesterday, and the had an air mattress and coffee maker shipped down ahead of time via UPS and their packages were also waiting for them at Luggage Assistance. Hopefully

Also, another question... How early has anyone sent stuff and had no problems?

Context: I wanted to get some xmas stuff while still available in some stores (like BBW, that has lots of holiday exclusives), but we are only arriving on disney @ Jan 17th.

So, how long does xmas stuff stays in stock usually in stores? Is it gone by the second week of January? How long can I wait to order?
If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it!!!

I doubt you'd find any Christmas merchandise as late as January 17th - even by January 7th stores would have very little if any Christmas merchandise left.

Anyone shipped to the Dolphin and Swan before?

I'm staying at the Dolphin (January 14-18!) and a bit worried as they aren't "official Disney"

I know I can't pack a box of wine and ship it down myself, but any issues ordering wine from an online store and having it shipped to a resort? thanks

I was just with a friend who checked into the Dolphin on Thursday. She had an Amazon Pantry box sent to ahead of time and it was as waiting at the business center for her. She was shocked to learn there was a $20 handling fee that had to paid in cash upon receipt of the box.

Not sure if this is place to ask.. so please forgive me if I am incorrect. Would I be able to deliver a package to another Disney resort for my niece to receive upon arrival. I will be there a couple of days ahead and was wondering if I could purchase some balloons from the park and a gift or two and have it for her upon check-in?

Sure. Bell Services will hold those for your niece.

Is there a limit to the number of packages you can send? I mean... can I send a box from home and have a box or two from Amazon?

We check into Pop on the 12th of March. I want to order a stroller from Walmart. According to their online shipping it says if we order today it will arrive by the 4th. That's a week before. How much time should I give it? Should I order it tomorrow maybe or wait a few more days?

anyone had experience shipping to a resort with a convention centre? I'm wondering how much of a PITA it will be to pick up the package.

Resurrecting just to confirm/ask a question - is it possible to ship a package to POR? There's something I want to buy that I can't ship to Canada, and I thought since I'd be there for six days maybe I could ship it there....?

Yup, you sure can. Everything you need to know is in posts #1 and #2 of this thread.
