Annual pass changes coming........

Question, if we're current PAP holders, do we now have access to PhotoPass or is it only new purchases? I can't call DD is in the car, Nov trip is for her birthday.

DVC lost their discount on a standard AP tonight and the current standard AP for us is a seasonal with blackout dates that used to be only for FL residents. They raised the price $200 from yesterday's seasonal ticket. They will rationalize that you get memory maker now. That used to cost $169 now you will pay $200 each for it in the cost of your ticket. So a family of four will now spend $800 for memory maker since it was added "free" to the ticket.
I currently have an AP I wonder if they are allowed to downgrade it?

my vouchers are DVC and so are BFF. We go in Jan. Hope to hear more.
Planned to buy Memory Maker....

I hope they'll release whether or not renewal vouchers are included in this new perk. I renewed our AP last week and typically purchase Memory Maker for our trips. I'm sure I'll still have to, but it'd be nice if not!

My renewal postcard price is NOT BEING HONORED on the website today. I got my postcard guaranteeing a price of $590 through November 11, but when I follow the link it locks me in for a $675 renewal price. Hmm.

I read that you can call to renew but the postcard doesn't have a phone number.

I'm not happy with the changes to DVC AP, however I still plan on upgrading to an AP in Nov. The blackout dates wouldn't apply to my trip in 2016. I'm very nervous about the price increase for base tickets for 2016.

So here's the new prices for passes:

New Gold Pass (DVC/Fla ONLY) -> $549 (Increase of $20/3.7% over prior Annual pass and you get Christmas/Easter blackouts)
New Gold Pass renewal (DVC/Fla ONLY) -> $466 (Increase of $17/3.8% over prior Annual pass and you get Christmas/Easter blackouts)
Annual pass -> Platinum pass $749 (Increase of $95/14.5%)
Annual pass (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum pass $649 (Increase of $120/22.7%)
Annual pass renewal -> Platinum pass renewal $635 (Increase of $81/14.6%)
Annual pass renewal (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum pass renewal $549 (Increase of $100/22.3%)
Premium pass -> Platinum plus $829 (Increase of $46/5.9%)
Premium pass (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum plus $729 (Increase of $80/12.3%)
Premium pass renewal -> Platinum plus renewal $705 (Increase of $46/6.9%)
Premium pass renewal (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum plus renewal $619 (Increase of $70/12.8%)

Here's the remaining prices missing from my previous post with the FLA only tickets. Parking is an added benefit of all these tickets.

Seasonal Pass -> Silver Pass (Fla resident ONLY) -> $389 (Increase of $60/18.2%) Same blackouts
Seasonal Pass renewal -> Silver Pass renewal (Fla resident ONLY) -> $330 (Increase of $51/18.3%) Same blackouts
Weekday Select (no name change) (Fla resident Only) -> $259 (Increase of $34/15.1%) Same blackouts
Weekday Select renewal (no name change) (Fla resident Only) -> $220 (Increase of $31/16.4%) Same blackouts
Epcot After 4 (no name change) (Fla resident only) -> $249 (Increase of $50/25.1%)
Epcot After 4 renewal (no name change) (Fla resident only) -> $211 (Increase of $42/25.1%)

Well, guess this made our decision easier. We were trying to decide if we should upgrade to annual passes for our August trip and fit another trip or two in that year. This is the tipping point for us. My daughter is at school in the area and we figured we would be spending even more time down there, but Disney has other ideas.

I am here now with the regular no blackout AP. About to take a trip to guest services to find out about our now "old" AP being upgraded to the "new" AP. I'll report back costs, etc and what happens. Stay tuned....

Excellent. Thank you!

I guess we are paying for the future attractions that do not even have a ground breaking date yet. The $3 jump in parking is paying for the new DTD name change signs

I'm thinking they could pay for those new attractions with the increased revenue that came with all those additional bodies in the parks lately.
