We'll be at Epcot on Monday, August 17th too. :wave2: My DD loves Teppan Edo and we usually eat there every trip but we are eating at LeCellier that night. My DD's 18th birthday is August 22nd and since we'll be home from our trip (boo!) we are taking her to Benihana (yeah!). It's not Teppan Edo but we can pretend it is. Ha!

You have a lot of firsts this trip - how exciting! We are staying at the Polynesian and we love it! I hope you do too.

Love this thread! Everyone around me is probably sick of hearing how excited I am!

We leave in 35 days and I'm super excited. This is the first vacation DH & I have taken just the 2 of us that isn't to visit family since our honeymoon 6 years ago! We are trying to do a lot of things we've never done before on this trip. I really wish we had added an extra day, but too late for that now. We'll just have to make the most of our time there. And drink LOTS of coffee!

We are going Sept. 12-18th. This is our first time staying at POR we have stayed twice at AofA. The boys still don't know and I am not sure when we let them know. I think of this trip as all the things we haven't done.
:MNSSHP
: Port Orleans Riverside
:CP reservation
:Memory Maker
And all the attractions we have not made it to in past years like The Great Movie Ride, It's a Bugs Life, Country Bear Jamboree, Big Thunder Mountain railroad, etc. Now that my youngest is tall enough there are so many rides he is going to love going on!

So excited to go back and to enjoy every moment.

POR is probably my favorite resort in all of WDW. It has a really special feel to it. We used to get up a little early just so we had time to stroll through the resort and along the river before we had to leave. You really feel like you're somewhere else. I think you'll love it!

We are making two trips this year. My mom died in May, and my daughter and I spent a TON of time with my mom (my mom was my boss at work, and my daughter literally spent all of almost every weekend with my mom, and also I got promoted to fill my mom's job so I'm now the boss which means I'm away from home a lot because of work) so it's been especially hard on our whole family.

Our first trip, just DD and me, over labor day weekend, hoping to reconnect with this kid that I've barely seen all summer! September 3-7 at POFQ, hoping to shop at Downtown Disney, swim at the resorts a lot, do our FP+ rides and anything with a short standby line, meet Anna and Elsa, squash a lot of pennis, eat at Boma, and just generally enjoy some serious mama/daughter time! I'm going to basically let DD be in charge of what we do, other than the things we have to schedule.

Our second trip, we also went to my mom's for Christmas every year so can't do that anymore, and in order to hopefully feel less sad if I have things to do, I took my daughter's Christmas break off for my vacation. We're making the trip to the World, driving, so we'll stay from December 20 to January 1, at POFQ. It's also my wife's birthday during this trip, so I made us a reservation at Narcoossee's for that evening and another reservation at the California Grill another night of our trip, so we can have a couple of adults only evenings with my daughter going to the kids club, which she's very excited about! It's also about a month before our 11th wedding anniversary so will be a little bit of an early celebration of that. This trip we plan to also spend a few days to look around Orlando as we're very seriously considering moving there in a couple of years once everything is resolved with my mom's estate. Other than that, taking it easy and trying to keep it low-stress are definitely what I want!

Pizza place = Via Napoli?

How do you get Lady and the Tramp's autograph? We love them, DH and I like think they're the Disney versions of ourselves. We haven't eaten at Tony's yet but we usually sneak in to look around when it's quiet.

Thanks! We are definitely not resting much on this trip! Though I do have us leaving the park around 2/3 a couple of days to go swimming before dinner.

And DH is very good travel partner. He let's me do all of the planning and just follows me around! There are already very detailed spreadsheets so I don't have to think while we're there. :goodvibes

We've never been to V&A's either. We're probably going to start a family next year and felt that V&A's was one of those things that we need to do it now or we probably won't for a very long time...if ever. The Disney rewards dollars will help with this one! :)

Yes Via Napoli!

And I've heard that at the check-in if you ask them for Lady and the Tramp's autograph they have a bunch up front!

I figured there was nothing more magical than spending our one year anniversary at the happiest place on earth.

I'm back to DISBoards after our last trip in 2011, catching up on everything about FP+ and Magic Bands, neither existed when we were last there. So much more to learn but the excitement is building for our late September trip for the FoodFest!

Glad you didn't cancel!! Your trip schedule looks very well thought out! I can't wait to try the Boathouse as well.
We are going for lunch. I'll probably try the Gibson's Burger Hop Champion or the Rotisserie Chicken. Yum!
I heard that Yachtsman Steakhouse is very good. Have a wonderful time with your fiance! Congratulations! Maybe they still have a "just engaged" button. :D
