Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

and as for prosecco - don't forget how close you are to France and Italy! Italy has the Rosa Regale (the red prosecco that taste like berries....) It used to be $10-$12 a glass, but it was only $20 for the bottle! (and that was the same price we pay for it in the liquor store here in Chicago!) So yes, I hit Epcot for my wines! ;)

I second this. My husband and I bought several nice bottles of wine around EPCOT on our last trip. We brought them home (since CL offers wine for no charge every evening) and enjoyed them as a special treat over the next several months. It was nice to have a little taste of WDW while waiting for our next trip there!

Also, don't forget about the alcohol available in the CL lounges. I realize it isn't a huge selection, but if you like red or white wine, beer, or cordials, you can get those for no additional charge as part of the cost of CL. We saved a bunch of money simply by not buying alcohol drinks as often as we normally would on non-WDW vacations by having most drinks in the lounge (or bringing them back to our room to drink on our balcony) instead. We even "drank around the world" at EPCOT (don't judge us..!) and still came out spending less than if we'd had mixed drinks or wine before or during our meals each evening. Plus we both like beer so having good options (i.e. not just Bud Light) at CL was great, too.

What kind of beer options? Any craft type beers?

I know this comes up from time to time as I've read the discussion - and @TigrLvsPooh has kept the pictures on the first page which shows different offerings (I may look at them more than most people, I miss Disney! and love the pictures!) I've seen the regular beers, like Bud Lite, and Heineken, as well as Moosehead and Yeungling (?) etc

ahh...ok, I will have to relook at the first page. I did when I first started following this thread but must have missed the cocktail pictures. Sounds like they have a good selection. Thanks! :drinking1

And the AKL has a special beer from Africa which is only available at the resort and AK I believe, called Tusker something something. It was pretty darn good, and cost $0!

Here's the beer DH loved at BC. I think they said it's a local beer. I think DH said they had it when we were at Poly too, but the beer brands do change a bit as do a few other things ( Pinot grigio at BC, champagne at GF). image.jpgimage.jpg
These are the cordials at BC last week, although it seems they are the same at GF and Poly.

I'm doing some Resort Hopping while my daughter is on the Disney College Program. Here are a few photos from my last trip to the Atrium Club at the Contemporary.

Just daydreaming about a potential CL stay at the Polynesian or WL for September/October of 2016.
Apparently alcohol is only served at night time but can you request a drink or two if you came back to the resort for a mid-day break to take to the pool?

Hi all! We are booked for our first ever Poly AND CL stay 9/25-10/03 and we can't wait!!!!

Due to the free dining promo, we have had a heck of a time finding any ADR's we wanted (Ohana is #1 on our list, we will be celebrating 2 birthdays on our trip) and as much as I have tried, I can't find one. I contacted IPO and they put me on waiting lists. Has anyone else gone the waiting list route before and had any luck??

Also, I've asked for signed bday cards in our rooms but aside from that, are there any other special requests I can make?

You can ask for a drink anytime. DH has had a beer at 10am before:) You will have to put it in a "to go" cup but that's no big deal since they have them there for coffee anyway. We almost always take a drink to the pool:) I hope you get your CL stay!

Does anyone know what the evening food offerings are for Saturday and Sunday at the Beach Club Club Level??? Thanks!!!

A few different kinds. It depends on the resort you're staying at, too. It seems like they try to match their beer selection to the theme of the resort somewhat. For example, at WL they had the usual suspects (Bud Light and I believe Michelob Ultra) along with Moosehead, Widmer Bros. Hefeweizen, Yuengling, and I think something else that I'm not remembering off the top of my head. So basically it's nothing super surprising, but definitely better than just having one or two of the typical watery beers that you can get anywhere.

Yep! At WL they technically close the lounge between food services, but just ask a CM and they'll bring you whatever you want. You can even have them grab you two of a specific beer at a time to put in your room fridge so you don't have to ask them for another next time. When the lounge is open, beer is available in a fridge and you can grab one, pour it in a cup and go down to the pool. Wine isn't sitting out except in the evenings, but you can have some anytime if you ask.

Just a short week left - and its getting harder not to blurt out _ "We're staying CL!"

dd needs to take medications, and she can't swallow, so she crushes the pills between 2 spoons, she says "What will we do in Disney?" I almost blurt out, Im sure CL cm's will give me 2 metal spoons for you to use... or DH wants to know why we don't do a grocery service for beer

We are there now and there have been goldfish, gummies and jelly beans. At night veggies and apples with caramel dip and cookies.

This is great to know! I heard the kids section was gone! My 4 yo calls CL the gummy bear room! Lol! She doesn't get them often so it's a big treat!

They are all on the main counter along with the "adult" items. There isn't a specific section just for kids like at some of the buffets.

I totally understand your daughters love for the gummy bears. I am wishing I had taken a handful with me :)

We are now within the 60 days for online check in. Our thinking is that if we do it, we might have a better chance of getting into our room earlier. Any thoughts?

We already have requested bunk beds on our reservation and since we know we will be on the 7th floor (we are at WL) we don't have any requests to put in.

Since this is our first time staying at CL (or WL for that matter) we still would like to talk with a CL CM to get info. upon arrival. If we check in online can we do this? If we check in online will they still meet us downstairs and bring us up?

What are the negatives of OLCI in our situation?

TIA

I was put on a waiting list once, but I found the reservation myself before they did. I would keep my name on the list, but I wouldn't just leave it up to them. I would be checking the site myself regularly! I got an 'Ohana ADR once just three weeks before our trip (it was a last minute trip). I would check the ADR cancellation thread too. Someone just recently was able to get what he/she wanted over there (they arrange a cancellation time so the other person can be waiting to grab it).

Here's an odd request for those of y'all that are very experienced CL pros. :) We are pretty set on staying at both GF RPC and Poly CL in the near future. When we are down for our next trip to CR in October, we'll be booking another trip for May 2016 at either GF or Poly.

So here's my question: does anyone have any photos or experiences with GF main building rooms 4329 or 4429? We've been looking at layouts of the deluxe king CL rooms and as nice as the turret rooms are, I REALLY want a balcony. I'd gladly give up room size for one. Are 4329/4429 king rooms? We would love a monorail view so we are hoping they are! I know there are deluxe king rooms on the 2nd floor that have balconies, but I honestly would rather see the monorail than the castle (yes, it's sacrilege, I know!). Anyone familiar with these rooms?
