Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

Ebates has a banner for the Presidents Day sale up. Orbitz is still at 1% for activities. Anyone know if the 20% off was a late addition last year?

It might have been because it wasn't reported on this board until the day after President's Day last year. However, I do remember that they had 10% cash back for awhile leading up to it and they haven't had anything close to even 10% since the President's Day double cash back sale last year. Right now it's 3% cash back on activities so if they join the double cash back sale next week it might only go up to 6%.

I think I asked this question earlier on the other thread, but about the Orbitz tickets. Can anyone confirm that tickets purchased through Cheaptickets are eligible for upgrade at the ticket booth? I want to buy 4 day hoppers so we can get Magic Morning/no blackout dates. Then I'd like to upgrade before my last day to Annual Passes. Thanks!!!

I don't know what you mean by "magic morning/no blackout dates," but tickets from Cheaptickets should be upgrade-able. There's no benefit to waiting until the last day to upgrade to an annual pass. The annual pass effective and renewal date will be based on the first use of your original tickets.

Doesn't look like the sale is happening again this year, does it? I don't see anything for Orbitz activities on the ebates website - am I just missing it? I want to be sure to order tickets before the price increase.

And with orbitz or cheap tickets - we need to take a voucher with us the first day we go to the park?

You can also take care of this at the front desk if you're staying onsite

With Orbitz tickets you do not need to bring the voucher. You just need to enter the voucher number in your MDE to connect the tickets to your magic bands.

Someone on another board posted yesterday that Expedia is purchasing Orbitz/Cheaptickets so that could certainly change the discounts. We'll have to see how it plays out.

If you are referring to Extra Magic Hours you do not upgrade tickets to get this perk. You must however be staying at a Disney resort to take advantage of EMH. Black out dates only occur if a CM is trying to get tickets for you.

Do you guys think there is any chance of this deal happening this year? I've been waiting to buy my park tickets just in case...

Last year the sale started Feb 23 I believe so really hoping it kicks off this weekend! Planning to buy my 2016 tickets now!!

So Ebates had a 20% cash back on the event tickets??? Am I getting this right? I want to make sure I know what I am looking for.

They offered it last year with Orbitz but there hasn't been anything so far this year. Last year orbitz was offering 10% back on all activities and doubled it to 20% the week of Presidents' Day. I've been checking every day and Orbitz is still at 1% for activities. Last year I made my purchase on February 19th so my guess is it isn't happening this year. It might be because there is talk that Expedia is buying Orbitz out.

Cheaptickets is offering 6.88% cash back with ebates. We went ahead and got our WDW tix this way. Since I don't need Universal tickets as early I'm still hoping a 20% cashback happens somewhere!
I signed my husband up for an ebates account so he got the $10 bonus and I got a $5 referral fee too.
