Official 2015 Disney Marathon Thread

I'm not sure what to wear for tomorrow. I planned on a tank top and shorts. I have leggings I can wear but I only have a long sleeve shirt to wear under the tank that I am not willing to throw away. I have arm warmers but not sure they will keep the rest of me warm. I wore a tshirt and the warmers today and was still cold at the end.

Also was the blerch there today? I wore my shirt but didn't see him!

I still can't decide what to wear either. I'm thinking leggings under my shorts, and a long sleeved shirt over a t-shirt at this point. It's looking like it will be around 45 degrees at 4am when we are getting there. And it isn't supposed to break 50 until 10 am, so most of us will be done by that point. I would rather not be freezing at 5 in the morning. Anyone else think they've made a decision?

Also, Where is the best place for spectators/supporters to view the race tomorrow morning? I have a friend coming with me, and since I will be running I will not be able to tell her where to go. Can anyone offer any advice? Thank you!!

I spectated the Princess Half this year (same course). I was on Main Street (friend could take the bus with you to the starting area and then monorail to MK), and then I after I saw the people I was there to see I took the monorail to Epcot and saw them twice again on both sides of Spaceship Earth.

As for what I'm wearing tomorrow...running skirt and short-sleeved top. I have a pair of leggings and a long-sleeved shirt for throw-away clothes...ditching the leggings right before we start and keeping the long-sleeved shirt on until I feel warmed up (2-3 miles?).

This morning I had a running skirt and a long-sleeved top under my short-sleeved top and I felt overdressed. I think it's different for everyone though - I'd rather be a little too cold than a little too warm.

On a totally side note, is this website bringing you to a million different Dr.Oz sights today, because I can't seem to push any button today that doesn't send me to a crazy fake page?

Thank you for the idea. See I'm from here so the past few days it has been so chilly. I'm thinking I'll do the leggings as throw aways then. I'll pick my cheap pair. But i'm definitely thinking that I still may bring the long sleeved shirt. I guess I'll set it in my pile tonight and see how I feel in the morning.

I made it to the Expo and got my number and shirts which is great. However, I was bummed that bot the Goofy car magnet and Goofy "I did it" checklist shirts were sold out. Anyone know if you can get them later, maybe online?

Don't know about THE Blerch, but we had our Blerch shirts on and were handing out Nutella & pretzels & brownies in corral B this morning.

For what to wear, how about the long sleeve shirt over your tank? That way you can take it off and tie it around your waist if you get warm.

So, spend about 1/2 day in MK with family, head to expo, only to forget my photo ID in the room. Suuuucks.

On my way back to expo now. Hopefully can make it in time. I need to get it done today even though only doing Marathon or stress will get to me. :-(

I got there late morning and both the large Donald and Goofy car magnets were gone. Glad I was able to get at least the Mickey. According the RunDisney official I talked to that what was there was it. They would not be available online. When I got back to the room DD had searched EBay and found that this year magnets were already up for bid

Ah. I missed you guys!

My tank is a RawThreads shirt that I'd like to show off so I'm afraid if I start with a shirt over it I will end up never taking it off! I decided to just go with leggings and the shirt underneath anyway. I will probably walk a lot so I won't be getting too overheated.

Does anyone know if there is a cut off time to be in your corral? If so is it strictly enforced? Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Not sure about tomorrow, especially since the corral lay out is different than ToT, but in at ToT this past October, they were very strict about it. If you weren't in your corral by the time your corral moved to the start line, you weren't starting with it, you had to go further back.

How many minutes between each start? Is it the 7 mins like the others? Im in M. Im trying to figure what time I will be where so my family can see me a couple times.

Also How late do the buses run each morning?

I thought that last year with the expanded corrals the wait time was like 3 minutes in between corrals. I so do not want to go outside. We are not getting there as early as we would if it was warmer. Everyone have a good run today :thumbsup2

Glad tomorrow is going to ne a little warmer

Time between corrals last year was about 3 minutes. At least the early ones were that way.

Being my first full, I noticed the directions are different than the other three. I've been taking 192 to World Dr. But the event guide says to take I4 to Osceola Parkway West. Doesn't Osceola West just run into World drive?

What is the best way to go? I plan on arriving at like 4:00 am

Anyone ever have an issue with a bib not tracking any time. My wife ran the half this morning and none of her splits were recorded. All mine are accounted for. I assume RD has some way to rectify.

Heard some stories from other friends at the finish that the same thing happened to them.

FYI for those who may want to arrive later than suggested tomorrow. I got on the bus line at POP at 4 exactly and did not make it to the staging area until 5. The line for the bus was really long but there was also a TON of traffic we got stuck in. I had enough time to use the porta pots and walk to the corral before it moved up. I was in K
