EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Thx for the update!

I called today & spoke to 2 people. I specifically asked why there are no CL rooms in inventory for a 2 month period. I was told there is no renovation & I moved us over to BWI CL to a Deluxe CL room. I booked last year fairly late & there were still GV & LV CL rooms left. I also booked BB.

Those deluxe CL are sooooo nice! :thumbsup2 GREAT CHOICE! :goodvibes

I would definitely go ahead and book it. You can always cancel it later if there's no discount. It's hard to predict success with applying AP discounts to a room reservation. Sometimes it works, and sometimes you have to switch to a different category in order to get the discount. Epcot resorts during F&W go like hot cakes! I'm in the same predicament since we decided to go back down for Star Wars weekends, all Epcot resorts are full. If you really have your heart set on it I think it's better to book. :thumbsup2

Thanks Erika! We would be happy with the YC CL as well since only my mom, my DD and I have stayed at the YC so everyone else is anxious to try it. My parents are definitely Epcot resort lovers and don't really want to stay elsewhere ;) They enjoyed VGF and BLT, but their love is the BW and my mom also really liked the YC...soooo, I really need to make sure we get the BWI or YC before our DVC stay.

Thanks for the advice....I think to be safe, we'll book and see how things play out :thumbsup2

If I changed dates at the resort and I had originally contacted IPO to note a room request, should I send another email with the new dates and a reminder to note the request?

The only time I've heard from IPO is when I contacted them. Will they contact me for anything closer to our arrival? Or is it because I went through a TA that they don't?

Hi,just wondering if Yacht Club lounge has root beer and also sparkling water.(Perrier, San Pellegrino, etc)
Thanks!

Hello. I did not see Root beer when we were there. They did have sparkling water out to pour in a cup but not in individual bottles.

We are booked at the YC CL in a garden vw room for October and understand there are only 4 or 5 of these rooms at the YC. Since I know nothing about the YC CL layout, does anyone know if these particular rooms are close to the lounge and/or elevators? Also, DH wanted to request a King bed but I'm not sure it's worth it since I've read out of the 4 or 5 garden vw rooms, only 1 has a king bed??

bumping this up....anyone know?

As long as your confirmation # didn't change the notes should still be there. IPO rarely would contact someone besides the initial contact, and even that doesn't always happen. Unless you asked them to find information for you in regards to something. Feel free to email them any time you need help or have questions, that's what they're there for! :thumbsup2
You should receive several emails from MDE before your trip... they'll send one around the 60 day mark to remind you to book fastpasses, and to remind you about making dining reservations. Emails also come when magic bands are shipped. Also they'll send another one around 10 days prior reminding you about magical express and online check-in. Everything is automated now.

Sparkling water is in a large bottle next to the still water:

I believe they overlook the gazebo area. I know at least 2 of them do. I had the chart last year before we left but I can't seem to find it now. Dee over on the YC/BC thread has the list if you want to PM her. :)

We stayed in a YC CL GV room last summer. I believe the number was 5150. It was facing the gazebo and it was literally steps away from the elevator. I think four of the five garden view rooms are located in that area. It was extremely convenient and our room had a daybed. I would recommend asking for a gazebo view.

That's what we booked last summer when we had our nightmare check-in. I wanted it so badly!!!!!

I woudn't be surprised either. When I tried to upgrade to a CL room at the BC just last week, I was told there wasn't anything available (we too were booked with a BB from last year). Our dates are from 10/19-10/23. The CM was surprised by "what she saw" on her screen so she put me on hold, came back and said it was because all the CL rooms were pulled from inventory due to renovations. This is why we switched over to the YC.

there are 5 YC GV CL rooms. 4 face wedding gazebo of these 4, 1 has king bed. The other gv room is a lone room that faces the walkway up the steps of the resort. Overlooks the big walkup . THAT has a king bed...So of the 5 rooms 2 have king beds which makes booking YC GV CL tricky...I have done it without issue 5x always getting the 2 queen room for 3 people.

Thank you both. I did search thru the BC/YC thread, that's where I saw there was such a limited number of YC CL GV rooms. Did notice they all seem to overlook the gazebo but it was unclear just how many of them had a king size bed. Glad to hear that they are close to the elevators...while we've stayed CL at the BC a few times, this will be our very first stay at the YC :).

Perfect...

I think I'm not even going to bother reqesting a king bed and will just see what we end up with.

If you want a King request it. There is no difference in the rooms at all - the face the gazebo the one is the other view. All 5 have own balcony. If that is your only request go for it!!! If you need a daybed make that a priority request over the King but heck all things being equal request what you want. All close to lounge, all have full balcony, etc.

So do the 2king YC CL GV rooms have a pullout bed/or daybed/or pullout chair to accommodate 3 guests? (2parents, 1child?)

As much as I'm looking forward to our August trip with my girls and trying the GF for the first time, I'm even more excited to just get away with DH. We love the BC, feels like home to us, BUT I'm glad to be staying at the YC this time around AND by staying there this time around, I can check off another resort off my quest to try all the deluxes :).

On all our trips, the only thing I ever request is an upper floor and since we're doing CL this time, I don't have to. But you are absolutely right, I should request a King Bed and now that I think about, I'm going to do just that....can't hurt to try :)
