*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

Well, it's snowing again here today. 95 days to go and I am looking forward to the hot heat of June!!!!!!!

We have always had more days there than ticket days, but used to buffer our park entry days because we went in the Fall and would do 2 or 3 parties so that gave us those extra access days without using up a park entry on our regular tickets. We don't have that luxury in the summer but I sucked it up and plumped for length of stay tickets this time. We are international and Disney International sells different tickets so we managed to get 21 days tix.

Let's hope they do a soft reopen of the People Mover on June 30th :cool1:

Well, I will certainly be checking but won't hold my breath. We will be there 13 nights and have two off days. Arrival day, 4 park days then day off, 4 more park days, then day off, then two more days. Home the next day.

Joining in! I will be down there June 5th-June 10th for a pre college program check in trip with my uncle, staying at Pop Century! My program starts the 9th so my uncle will leave the 10th.

My sister did the College Program WAAAAAY back in 1992-1993. Have a wonderful time!

My DD20, has been trying to get into the College Program, but hasn't found any summer openings. Any tips?

There's no "summer"'program. However there's a fall advantage program with start dates in May and June and a regular fall program that starts in August/September.

We are leaving on July 1st. Our plane leaves at 6:30pm but we don't have any park tickets left for that day. We will have used up all of our 10 day parkhoppers. I can't believe we'll miss it by one day! I don't think I can talk DH in to paying $200 more just to go in the MK and ride the People Mover! Especially since we paid over $300 on just one day last summer to add a day to our DLR trip and go to Club 33. Somehow I don't think he will view the People Mover as on the same level. :rotfl: Why do they only sell 10 day tickets??

Because they want you to buy an AP... :hyper:

Yep, and I did look at that. And looked at the DLR/WDW passes too. In the end it was cheaper to just let our DLR APs expire and get 10 tickets. Then the next summer go back to our DLR APs. We easily spent 8 days at DLR last summer and 10 days does not seem like enough time at WDW. Especially when it is so hard to park hop. But I know we'll have a good time. Even I don't get to ride my childhood favorite.

Ok.. I know I've intro'd myself a few months ago, but I've not been on here in a long while and so I figured I'd update!

Oak Grove. Tiny town nestled between Clarksville, TN and Hopkinsville, KY and in existence because of Ft Campbell.

They cancelled school around 3pm yesterday but it had been rumored on Friday before the storm came through. The hard part is how far north the county runs and how many of the homes are in the rural. Our housing development is in the middle of a farmer's land.

And I think we are out of school again tomorrow. We are making up classes through the first week of June.

Major bummer about the People Mover, but I guess we shouldn't whine too much. Just means make plans for another trip; eh?

You're not too far from us.. I actually lived on post for a while, but moved back down here (Pleasant View area). We are FINALLY back in school tomorrow. My DS14 did a jump kick thing in the air. I think my kids are ready to go back! LOL

And yes... No People Mover is going to be sad :(

Small world...Know a family that moved down there. Kids probably know each other. Unsure age of their middle schooler.

Our roads are finally melting, but we are out one more school day. Drove north and saw the school lot is still iced over, as well as Walmart. :rotfl2: Think school will let out day before vacation begins.

DD put on her shorts and sandals today to go out and do ice removal. Sun was shining.

I'm so ready to go back it's not even funny. I miss Disney so much, especially since losing my mom in December.

I clicked on all the links. I'm not signed in, but it still let me edit. Try again?

Anyone else experiencing problems with it?

It won't let me edit either, said my version of Internet Explorer is too old. Tried to update it, and got an error message that the newer version cannot be loaded without an update!!!Then I gave up, and continue to surf the net with my outmoded search engine:-D
