I am so excited to be checking in on Friday for my first stay at CSR. Standard room for the first 2 nights, but I was able to get a business class for the 3rd night! :dance3:

Are the pics on the first page the current offerings for what's in the business lounge? My dad has had some health related illnesses and I'm trying to decide if it would be worth it to upgrade our room to that for the breakfast offerings. My mom said he mainly eats egg whites and/or oatmeal with berries for breakfast. Not sure if they offer oatmeal in there (I know they don't offer eggs) and if not, do they have plain oatmeal at Cafe Rix? Thanks!

I'm so excited. We are booked to go 9/28-10/6. I booked a standard room and hope to get in 8a or 8b. The kids will be 11 and 13 so they will still enjoy the pool and I just want to relax!! I booked the flights yesterday afternoon so that makes it real! :rotfl: It gives me something to dream about while we get 8-12 inches of snow tonight. :thumbsup2 Now the question is, when do I tell the kids??? :woohoo:

I'm looking at booking either Preferred or Business Class because we really want to stay at CSR, but being close to bus & restaurant is most important to us (I won't book standard and risk being stuck in Rancheros).

Is Business Class a definite advantage over Preferred, or are they about the same (excluding the added benefit of the lounge)?

Hi everyone, newbie here!
My mum and I decided on CSR for my 21st birthday trip and have just found out it is completely booked up for the time we want to go (last week of June/first week of July). Will all the resorts fill up soon? We are thinking of booking CBR instead (but they only have Kingsize rooms left) or POFQ- but don't want to leave it too long waiting to see if CSR becomes available in case everything books up! Does anyone have any advice? :)

I am thinking maybe there is a conference at CSR and that is why the rooms are filled for late June. I checked on the website for July 1-8 and there are rooms at CSR. Would you consider doing a split stay? 2 weeks at one resort is a long time. I think you would enjoy staying at two different resorts. The only problem with this would be if you are doing a dining plan. You can always change your reservation if CSR becomes available- 45 days out if a package and 5 days out if room only.

Just as an FYI - there is a National Dance Competition at CSR - the actual competition starts on 7/3 and goes til 7/9. CSR is the host resort, and the competition is in the conference center at the resort.

We just arrived about 10 min ago to check in - we gave them our name and she pulled up reservation, then immediately got on phone and guess what......we were upgraded to the Yacht Club!!! On our way there now via complimentary taxi:). What a way to start the day!!

Business Class is the best guaranteed location at CSR. We booked it for the location the lounge was just an added perk.

pixiedust: That's incredible!! CONGRATS!!!! Enjoy your vacation!!!

I was coming down to go to POP from the 28th to the 3rd of March this year. But now I upgraded to CSR, cannot wait, never been there before.

Oh man! That is cool... I had a friend check into AoA and get moved to AKL... Were excited about CSR tho, so I am not sure how I would react? I know nothing about most of the resorts!

Hi everyone, first-timer to CSR here but very excited!

I could use some help with packing though! I am sure this is somewhere but I had trouble finding it. What are the current toiletries? I am hoping to save some space!

Thanks!

we weren't planning on it, but we're now staying at CSR end of Feb. DH has an off-site convention and they booked rooms for his company at CR, but just today we found out it's switched to CSR. I was pretty excited about CR, so I am hoping CSR is a pleasant surprise - I was kind of bummed when I found out because I was looking forward to CR.

Checking in to CSR in 42 days - we are so excited! I do have a question though - on all of our previous trips we have arrived for check in around lunch time (and luckily our rooms were always ready). This time we will be late - probably at least 9pm - do we need to make note in our reservations that we will be arriving late?

There's no need to. As long as you arrive before 6AM the next day, your room will be waiting for you. :thumbsup2

Last time we showed up at CSR, we got there around 11 pm. Even though I really wanted to be there much earlier, everything was just fine!! :thumbsup2

Our last stay at CSR this past December we arrived about 10pm. When I did online check-in there was a spot to list arrival time which I did. Not sure if that mattered or not, but everything was great when we got there. Room request were met, so the late check-in didn't affect that either.
