video from the week of nov 1.....I cant imagine that TPV are not currently blocked, in particular the lower floors?

If you go to Tikiman's FB site and look at the comments posted under this video you will see that someone shared their experience staying in room 1502 in Hawaii. Sounds like their TPV was definitely affected. I would be really upset to pay full TPV price and have to deal with that. Yikes.
Is it confirmed or still suspected that they'll be doing above water Bora-Bora style huts?
Also, new tikiman site is outstanding

Can someone post a pic of the view from the pool or the beach in front of it looking towards the castle? I want to see how much of the construction is affecting that view
Yes please - I just booked a room for December 21-23 for TPV in Hawaii... I'd hate to think I just got shafted...
Though it would explain why I was able to get a TPV club level room that week of December... But I thought I was just extremely lucky...
Technically TPV is an unobstructed view of the castle. Based on where the construction is and the fact that so far it's just prep work and they haven't started working on the actual structures, WDW would probably argue that while you have a view of the construction site, there is still an unobstructed view of the castle (since the work is immediately to the east of Hawaii, not directly in front of it). Although I think Tikiman did mention a while ago that some of the rooms were being reclassified (I'm guessing mainly those on the first floor - second & third shouldn't be too affected at this point). It may not be the same wonderful view as it used to be now that there is construction visible, but I can't imagine they would charge you for a TPV room if you don't have the view of the castle.
I'm hoping they don't get started on the actual buildings until January. So long as I've got a higher floor and theres only the dock framework I'll be... content...

Thx so much!Just got back from a 5 night stay. Hawaii Longhouse, 3rd floor garden view. Faced the quiet pool and had no view or construction noises. Even when construction was going on, noise was limited and could not be heard from our room. Enjoy!
That's our view in January! Glad to hear that there isn't construction issues on that side of the pool.Just got back from a 5 night stay. Hawaii Longhouse, 3rd floor garden view. Yes, there are 20 villas going in over the water starting on the Hawaii side of Sunset Pointe (guessing that name will go away) and stretching down to most of the Tahiti beach.
Glad you like the new site. I was in sort of a rush to get it out so there is more stuff to come on it like more photo albums and videos along with fixing up some of the content. There will be more added to the DVC section as we go along also.
