Anyone heard of way.com?

Getaway today will match the prices listed on way.com. You need to call and speak with an actual person because they look it online and then give you the way.com price. I didn't add the insurance, but I bet they still would. Best of both worlds. :)

I've never heard of this company? Are they endorsed by Disney/Mousesavers or any reputable organization?

Also, is there a thread about Get Away today with experiences getting the way.com price? There is one post on this thread that indicates they were not able to get the way.com price from Getaway Today but
Hana anyone reported otherwise?

I need to make a decision about my tickets and any help is much appreciated. :goodvibes

Although it's not stated on the tickets or web site, their unofficial policy has always been to credit you the cost of the tickets. So if you bought tickets with an expiration of 12/31/13 and couldn't make it to DLR before the end of the year, you wouldn't lose everything. Typically, the prices will have risen, and you'll have to pay the difference between what you paid for the expired tickets, and the new price for the tickets when you actually get there.

HTH,
Bob

Would you think this would be the policy even with the convention type tickets issued without MM issued from way.com?

Looks like way.com's prices increased again recently. Can anyone confirm? Specifically the 3 and 4 day pass hoppers.

I was stalking the 4 day park hoppers (no magic morning) and looks like they went up about $20 per adult ticket and about $10 per child ticket. I hadn't bought them, since our trip isn't till November and I was hoping for some package deals to come out before then. But don't know how realistic that is at this point. The price is now about what a friend (who is going with us) can get them at their military discount -- for the 4 day parkhoppers, anyway. Sorry, didn't keep tabs on the 3 day ones. HTH.

Edited to add: Just went back and looked at way.com....they didn't have any parkhoppers WITH magic morning listed, so maybe that's why the bump in price? Maybe it's worth keeping an eye on to see if they post the ones with magic morning and drop the prices for the ones without it??

Yes I wanted the 4 day hoppers too and they were around $235ish for an adult but since theyve gone up around $20 its better to go another route. FYI they havent had hoppers with MM for maybe a couples months now.

So I think I read most of this thread but I am wondering - does anyone know of anyone that had a bad experience with way.com?

I've been wondering the same thing. I've read this thread many times and we are one week out from the trip- it seems legitimate from the posts but something seems to good to be true- we would save 160.00.

I love GetAwayToday.com because you can do hotel, tickets and extras all in one place.....still waiting on them to get all their stuff for next year out because they don't have near the ticket options as they do this year so I am REALLY hoping that is just because they haven't got all their stuff out yet but its great if they will match way.com prices because the DL tickets are a little cheaper

Thanks for this because I LOVE GetAwayToday.com....can't wait until they get all their 2014 stuff entered....im hoping that is why they don't have all the ticket options for other stuff and they aren't doing away with the stuff like pirate dinner and whale watching....I have been checking everyday

Ooh, sweet, I am going to see if GAT will match the current prices through December. $690 is awesome.

I tried last year to get getawaytoday to match way.com prices but they never got back with me. I have ordered with way.com three times now. Never had a problem with them. I normally work up the hotel at getawaytoday with the tickets, work up the hotel at getawaytoday without the tickets and then add way.com prices, and then I work up the hotel at cheaptickets.com and add way.com ticket prices. Between the three of them I find out which way is cheaper for us. So far cheaptickets.com and way.com have won for our December trip, these two won for our trip we took in July also.

Sorry if this has been answered already but have any Canadians used way.com successfully?

I'm a little late to this since we leave Friday morning but if I could get our APs through way.com instead of getting park hoppers through flight centre then upgrading them at the park AND save some $, I would be thrilled!

Thanks!

I would suggest giving them a call or sending them an email. You can get the tickets within a few hours emailed to you.

I did just that! I called and like many others on this thread I spoke to William who was SUPER helpful! He processed my AP order over the phone (this seems to be the only limitation of Canadians buying through way.com, you have to do it over the phone) and within 5 minutes I had the receipt e-mailed to me and 16 minutes after that I had the two APs emailed as well! :yay:

I'll update after our trip and let the thread know if there we any issues...but I'm crossing my fingers that there are none! :thumbsup2

I'm thrilled to read this... we are from Canada and heading down at the end of the month. Flight Centre tickets are so expensive right now, it's nice to have this option! And we don't really need MM since we'll be at MHP the night before :)

We are in Vancouver waiting for our final flight to the island so I thought I would update this thread.

The APs we bought from way.com worked perfectly! The only word of warning is that the expiry date that was printed on the pass originally was one year after the date I bought the passes so I just had the woman at the gate change that before she issued our plastic passes. Since this also happened with the AP that I upgraded from a 5 day park hopper, I don't think this is unique to the way.com passes but it is something to be aware of.

Hope that helps anyone considering using that site.

They have updated their website and it is much easier to navigate and looks much better!

I just bought our tix from them last week and saved $$. I got tired of waiting for Orbitz to fix the wording on their site.

A question about restricted tickets and MM... I checked way.com and they have a good price for tickets but they are restricted, which as I understand means no MM. However, we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel - so can we get in MM anyway with our room key even though we don't have the MM option on our tickets?

What you have available to you is called Early Entry. It is available to you since you are staying onsite at a Disney Hotel. You can access one of the parks early everyday you are staying onsite. It doesn't matter what kind of ticket you have. It's all outlined in this thread...
