Hi Everyone -

We arrive at the Beach Club on 9/14 and I received a letter yesterday stating there may not be a refrigerator in our room. I thought I had read on these boards that all of the refrigerators had been swapped out - do you know if that is the case? I've put in an order with Garden Grocer for milk and juice but I will need to cancel if we don't have the fridge.

My take on YC: My son has been going at least once a year (sometimes more) since he was two. We do split stays but part of it is always at YC. It's so convenient and we always have that "relaxed" feeling at this resort. The CMs also always make us feel like we're truly coming home.

Location, location, location!! The YC has one of the best locations on property not to mention THE best pool. I love the full balconies and the water slide as well as the beach activities and proximity to the Boardwalk.

I really can't say enough about the YC. As you can see by my Dis name, it's my favorite resort and we stay at many. I have a trip planned for next summer with reservations at three resorts. The majority of the time will be spent at YC though. I just can't book a trip that I don't stay at either YC or BC with YC being my preference.

I think they just did a mass mailing but YC/BC were some of the first replaced.

Hello everyone--lurker coming out of hiding to say that this thread ROCKS!! I have a split stay WL/BC at the end of October, and was just coming on to post a question about whether anyone had experience with a split stay between a non-testing resort and BC, and lo and behold I see this:

I'm still 62 days out from our trip, so our FP+ window isn't open yet, but I'm trying to figure it all out in the next couple of days. I'm particularly curious as to whether you even tried to book any FP+ for the days you are at WL. I'm asking because my MDE FP+ page shows all our days, not just our BC days. Since we still aren't in the booking window, I can't test it out myself.

I figure if my tickets are linked to the MagicBand, then I'll have it/be using it before we get to the BC--unless they also put our tickets on our WL KTTW card. I did look at the FP+ threads and searched for split stay information, but it looked like all the info was for two resorts that were both testing.

I just don't know how this will work--any info is appreciated. This might just have to be an "experiment and see" situation.

That's what I think... I'm staying at BCV's and I got a letter and it didn't even affect the Villa's!

Heading back to BC in less than 3 weeks! (Sept 13-21)
2 questions that we have never dealt with before though..

1) Does BC do drop off character signing? I am hoping to get some characters to sign a birthday card for my nephew, but I really dont want to have to carry it in the parks and potentially have it get damaged. Back in the day you could leave something at the front desk and pick it up a few days later full of signatures. Do they still do that? Or is that one of the perks lost to history?


2) We booked through a TA. Can we upgrade our room once we get there? Our TA has a special deal for villains weekend for regular rooms. But we have always had a garden view room, well specifically a certain garden view room. It was not our intention to stay in the exact same room, but we always get assigned to it. It will be sad to not be in it! So if it is empty, we want it! But if it is occupied, we are fine to stay in our regular room. (Yes we are weird!)

I'm guessing that MDE is just being wonky on my end. I went back in after seeing this, and now I can't see any of my days--I only see August! I figure at this point I'm just going to wait 2 more days (until my window starts) and see what it lets me do.

I do have both of my reservations in MDE--a package (room and tickets) at WL, and a room-only at BC. I'm guessing they are already linked somehow on my account. I didn't do anything specific to link them. I also booked them through a travel agent, so maybe they did something.

If I figure anything out I'll be sure to post.

Ok finally my first time to post since we got in yesterday. And it was a crazy day! We arrived @12:30 and we went greeted at the bus. We were checked in downstairs because they were busy upstairs. Our requests were all 3 rooms somewhat close together but my room & my mom connecting or adjoining. My sister didn't mind being further away. We were granted connecting but with my sister my mom was giving a room around a corner and down a hall. (Back story my sister and I shared the same dad different mom's but she is very lose to my mom) so it makes more sense why we wanted this arrangement. They couldn't do anything to fix our rooms. My mom is a little bummed but I understand they are booked. I feel bad she a little far away, but we are making it work.

Our room 5212 2 queens no daybed view of the front of the building , honestly not bad-we saw fireworks from MK tonight from our balcony. My sister is 5214 same 2 queens no daybed. My mom is in 5195 king bed no daybed. Nice view corner view of SAB & if you look down u see roof top. Oversized balcony is a plus!

After we checked our rooms out we headed to MK. The bands are great! Love fast pass+ we did buzz, mikes laughing, small world, haunted Mn, flying horses, With no wait at all! Haunted Man broke while we were on it, it was so funny my mom was freaking out. We were stuck for about 10 mins. We had fast pass for the parade & wishes. Honestly I will never view either without them again. No pushing shoving, plenty of room. It was great!

Today!!! Back to MK for the day. We did pirates league for the little ones as the big boys did Richard perry driving experience. They said it was awesome! My nephew loved it. My niece is celebrating her 10 bday & her 1st visit she feels like a queen. BOG they came out with a candle in the grey stuff with a card from beast /bell. She feels like she is beyond special. It rained late afternoon so we came back had apps in the lounge. They were awesome! The kids went night swimming at SAB (my daughter 7 things that is the best thing ever) then off to bed.

I have to say I love it here. Love the area. Our rooms are clean, house keeping has been fine. We had turn down last night but not tonight most likely because we were in and out of our room tonight. Tomorrow off to AK

Our HomeGoods didn't have it at all. I even asked two separate employees if they sold shampoo. They both looked at me like I had seven heads. Are your HomeGoods attached to a TJMaxx? Ours are all separate stores located in different towns.

If anyone could hook a Chicago gal up with some cheap Aquatics, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Our home goods are separate from the TJ maxx as well. I will try and get back to that one soon and see if they are still there. If so I will mail you some.

Logged into my ME and saw we could customize our bands today! I know there will be bugs and snags along the way, but I'm excited!

This vacation can not come soon enough!!

Us too. We arrive October 23, can't wait.
The only glitch I have at the moment is that the FP+ is only working for my DD10!
I imagine if I only select her then she is the only one with FP's!?
Have you been able to make any FP reservations?
I was also able to make a band for my DD2 which I was surprised at as she has no park ticket or charging privileges.

Our little man will be 9 months on this trip and we will most likely be back at our room around 7pm each night as he goes to bed by 7:30pm. Hubby and I are wondering if there is a DVD player in the rooms so we could watch movies...we are staying at BCV.

We just finish our breakfast from the lounge. I had a very nice raspberry Danish & fruit. So nice in the mornings. Coffee is ok, I had worse but it's a great kick start.

Observations: i feel really bad bad for the cm that peeling all those eggs. Poor guy, they go so quick lol

I know someone was asking about the blue H2O products before. When you come out of ToT at HS they have a stand in the shop with all the products.

Pamkat we had preferred viewing for the electrical parade and then wishes too last night, it was amazing
