Thanks.. A few people I know suggested just buying the CD after the trip. I kinda like the idea of having it before hand. I'm just weighing the pros and cons.

I figure if I would have bought 2-3 ride photos, plus HDDR that makes up the difference between PP and PP+.

Not sure how I ended up planning this trip out. It was supposed to be DBFs trip.:lmao:

If you pre order PP or PP+ there is a 20-30 dollar savings. Just so you know PP+ needs to be done 14 days before your trip.

Next question about my Sanaa reservation. I have never been to AKL. If we drive over, is it obvious how to get to Kidani Village? If we take the bus from AK, Kidani is the first stop, right? So then after lunch we could walk to Jambo House or get on any bus at Kidani and get off at Jambo, right? We will probably just drive over if we are done at AK for the day. Just need to know all the variables. :goodvibes

There's a shuttle between Jambo and Kidani. You can walk but I read that the path is windy and confusing.

From driving experience there is signs for both Jambo and Kidani. I don't know about the bus though....

We're 48 days from when we leave. 49 until we arrive at BWI. I'd probably order with my next paycheck at the end of the month. That's plenty of time.

It's cheaper if you pre-order. And if you later decide you don't like the pics or didn't get enough to be worthwhile, you can cancel for a refund. (Note: refund for PP CD pre-order not for PP+.) but honestly we always have hundreds of pics.

And with the fact we are going to MVMCP.. Ok. I'm sold.. Like our DxDP, I'll get it this year and see how it works out. I just think it would be nice to have pics of us together..

Just updated my PTR with pics of pumpkins, an elf, and Mickey ears. Killing time before picking up a script for Zofran (anti nausea) for my man.

Josh's commentary on AK extensions : Disney has extended the close at Animal Kingdom on numerous dates throughout the month of January. You can see the full schedule here or Disney has updated DisneyWorld.com with the same information. This won’t affect the recommendations. Disney has been known to extend the closes at Animal Kingdom somewhat randomly throughout the year. I’m not sure why they choose to, other than trying to make the Park more attractive and thus, people may be more likely to include a visit during their vacation. Remember that by attendance, Animal Kingdom is Disney’s least popular theme park in Florida. I couldn’t tell you why they don’t just start with the 6pm and 7pm closes initially as there was no question they were going to extend the closes during the first week as well as most weekends. Probably because they want to make my life more difficult.

Translation: It doesn't mean anything at all.

Not sure if this was reported already but Lea Salonga (singing voice of Jasmine/Mulan) replaces Olivia Newton John.

I know I can ask this @ the PP+ thread but since I've seen quite a few of you guys on here have already bought it and being how we're trying to make a 4th Disney in December thread I'll just ask it here.lol.. Ok so I've been looking into getting the PP+ and it see where it says about the MVMCP that u get a card specific for that event and u get 40% off on pictures for the party.

My question is this, the PP+ does NOT include MVMCP?

Ok, so our original plan was for our whole family to go stay at Mariott Grande Vista in a suite. Well long story short, my wife and I feel like it was a bit corwded in the room. So what were doing it having all the other party members stay at the condo (which we split price on) and we (Me, Wife, 2 kids) decided to stay on site at Disney....yea for us.

So we're thinking of just going value resort with dining plan. So with the current prices of dining, which I excel at doing....are we gonna get our moneys worth? Here is what we have slated so far...let me know what you think of the places and such. These are only dinner plans as we plan on doing snack for breakfast and CS for lunch

12/2 Paradiso 37

12/3 Akershus

12/4 Boma

12/5 Coral Reef

12/6 Sci-Fi Theater

12/7 Cape May or Ohana

12/8 Crystal palace or Ohana

12/9 Undecided so far

Hi disboarders! This will be my 2nd trip to WDW. I've been reading through the board, presently on pg 91, looking for tips.

My DH, DS 12 will be flying to Orlando from So Cal Dec 1-8. We will be doing Disney, IOA & Universal.

Can anyone give me must do tips? We may never be back (for years) I really want to get the most out of the trip, without killing my husband! :rotfl2:

Thanks!

and these 51% off for my daughter. I love rei sales!!

I love the "Air Jesus"-es. I've never seen them with laces before. I am a sandal-phobe (much prefer sneakers). But New Balance came out with a Teeva -like footware that I really liked. And these look really comfy.

Just going out on a limb... I bet not too many REI footwear come in width...?

Hi All!

I am spending my 3rd Christmas in a row at WDW this coming December (12-27) and super excited to be coming back for 2 wonderful weeks again. We are doing Disney, Universal, Discovery Cove & Busch Gardens.

Hope Mr Tofubeast is feeling better soon !

Can you imagine if we really were named Mr. and Mrs. Tofubeast?! ohhhhh :p

I personally do not think it is worth it unless you plan on ordering the most expensive things on the menu. Yes, it is nice to have meals paid off, but don't forget gratuity isn't included.

Here's a great little article on this very topic.

These are Keens - I got them on rei.com. Keen makes a few different styles that for every gender and age. They don't make different widths. However, they do tend to run wider (in my opinion) which is why I love them. Most shoes are too narrow and hurt my feet. Same with my husband. REI has a few brick and mortar stores in MA as well as EMS (eastern mountain sports) I would go in and try a pair on. If you plan on purchasing them look online I usually find better prices unless they are on clearance in the stores. :) If you want to look at the different styles go to keenfootwear.com also they have excellent customer service! One of the soles on my husbands shoe failed and they sent him a brand new pair :)

Since you live in SoCal, can I guess that you might be Disneyland vet? If so, this might be an interesting thread re: visiting WDW. IT's a little dated, but not too bad.

You have a LOT of parks planned in a week. I would maybe cut Universal and just do IoA and WDW. Check out this great blog for recommended days to visit which parks.

WDW is MASSIVE. You just won't be able to do it all. But by going to the parks on recommended days at opening, it will allow you more time to see as much as you can. Just make sure to have time to break and give your feet a rest.

The discount is really for people that did not pre-order the CD or if you want to use your party pics for mugs or other products. Otherwise, the PP pics at MVMCP are no different than a regular park day and will all be included on your CD - whether you pre-order the CD or buy the whole PP+.
