~ Big Brother 14 ~ we have a WINNER!

Or just really smart. Don't forget that the people in the house were mostly morons.

True, except that I don't think Dan is really smart (that's why he doesn't win puzzle or mental competitions either), I think he's just a very effective liar.

Dan . . . He played everyone like a fiddle (bravo for Dan ), especially Danielle -- even to the very end she was suckered by him by being the ONLY person to vote for him (such an idiot), but the thing that kills me about him is what a pathological liar he is. I never recall him in the diary room ever showing remorse for what he was doing -- in fact, he seemed to get off on it. I think I would've understand him more if in the diary room he would've acted a little guilty or badly for how he was playing, but he always had that s**t-eating grin on his face with everything he did. In that game, you can only plan to be diabolical to extent, much of it has to be on the fly, and to me, anyone who is capable of of being that cunning and manipulative on a moment's notice (or for that matter, can plan some of what he did), is just a compulsive liar by nature. Still blowing smoke up the jury's butt to the very end and they saw right through it.

!
Im not sure if you watched the live feeds or not. He talked to the camera a lot and you really could see his thought processes. He did very very very little on the fly. He was ALWAYS thinking, running through scenarios, having conversations with people to see where they where. He always planned his reactions and what he would say to people. I think the only thing he did on the fly was evict Joe during that double eviction. He's a very smart guy.

Or just really smart. Don't forget that the people in the house were mostly morons.

BOO BOO BOO. Nothing worse then when a floater wins. Bitter Bitter Bitter jury.:mad::mad:

FLOATER? That is hilarious, you have got to be kidding. He won three or four HOH's and two POV's. He won when he had too just like Dan.

I think both Dan and Ian both played a great game, but totally different games.

I also DO NOT think the jury was bitter, I think Dan crossed a line that made it impossible for them to overlook.

Dan's funeral was genius and he played that to perfection, BUT when he was up in the room with Frank he stepped over the line. Instead he should have told Frank - see this Bible, this is my Bible, it means the world to me. It defines me. It defines my relationship with my wife. Would I bring this Bible in here if I didn't mean business. I want to work with you. I am telling you this with my Bible next to me and Chelsea in my heart, look at me. I will not break this deal.

Just as effective, but not crossing the line. Dan forgot that while lying is okay and being despicable is expected, crossing that one line that most people have that truly disgusts them will lose him that vote. He did it way too many times.

I also think Dan got off crossing the line. It was a power trip for him. His smile even during his final speech showed that. They were not bitter, they were disgusted.

Ian played the game and yes sometimes took advice from other players, but he never took advice that would change his character or what he believed was the way he wanted to play the game and be perceived at the end. I believe the jury saw through Dan and also saw the great game play that Ian accomplished and how he grew up during the season.

We all get to post our feelings re: the game. I don't agree with everyone, but I read all the posts. I can even see where Dan fan's come from. It was a great game, but I agree with the Jury. He turned my stomach for the worse. I could never have given him the money. I was just glad I was not alone in my views.

Have a great Fall and Winter. Will be back to read next season!:beach:

I find it amusing that I always thought Dani was not only self evolved but stupid in her game play and she is the only one who voted for Dan. :lmao:

Now her I could see being bitter.

I'm so happy that Ian won. By no means was he a floater. Dan crossed the line like so many people here stated. By no means, could I vote for someone that takes the game that low. I don't think the jury was bitter. They were disgusted by his actions. I would be, too.

I'm very happy for Ian! :cool1::cool1::cool1: I was VERY surprised by Jen's vote, thought for sure that would be another vote for Dan. :happytv: I loved seeing the joy on Britney's face each time there was a vote revealed for Ian. :)

I'm glad Ian won he was a good player and seems like a great guy. As for Americas Favorite I voted for Britney bc she was hilarious to watch! All in all I think they had a really great cast this summer. Now what am I suppose to do with my time until next summer??? I'll miss you Big Brother!!!!!!

Survivor and the Amazing Race.

Based on what she said during her voting, she only voted for Dan to make herself look good because she "stuck to her word". I guarantee you that they all discussed it duirng the commercial and said they were voting for Ian, so she knew there was no way for Dan to win. That last bit w/ the necklace I believe was the straw that broke the camel's back for her and Dan, so she didn't want him to win anymore. Her voting for him was a way for her to save face, but she knew her vote didn't matter because everyone else was voting for Ian.

I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks and got home last night to see the finale of BB14.

I was glad Ian won, what a landfall for a college student.
He now has a great head start for his future.

Dan will always be remembered as one of the greatest players ever!

I think it was a terrific season.

Dan played exceptional, but had no humanity.

Ian played pretty well and had a good amount of humanity.

Being two extremes is what hurt Dan. Ian was a good balance, was a likeable person, and had never won before. People say "bitter jury" but part of the game is endearing yourself to the jury as well. Playing a good social game, includes having allies and Dan made enemies of every single person. How is that good social game????

Brittany said to Dan "as a jury member, it matters to me how you treat me as a person." That sums it perfectly.

My preferred final 2 would have been Frank vs Dan. Not because they were "rivals" but because you have complete game dominance vs complete mental dominance. Frank was my favorite this year based on his dominance. But it hurt to watch him be so trusting.

Danielle looked like a fool to the end. It was painful to watch.

Somewhat related: I also think Russel Hantz should have one Survivor.

I was rooting for Dan to win. But I'm still satisfied with the outcome. Ian is a good kid.

It was a great season guys! See you next summer!pixiedust:

I'm really glad Ian won!! He made it sound like he was really struggling with college financially, he was so excited about the $3000 Frank gave him. He can finish off his education and have good money to start his new life after school.

I just wanted to slap Dan after every episode, even though being a master manipulator is a forte in this game. He took it too far with people's emotions.

FLOATER? That is hilarious, you have got to be kidding. He won three or four HOH's and two POV's. He won when he had too just like Dan.

Ian and Dani were both HUGE FLOATERS in the game. Sure they won HOH but they let Dan run them. How is that not a floater?

Whether or not they were floaters, they did play Dan's game.

Ian is given credit for things he didn't want to do. He wanted to keep Frank but Dan convinced him not to, for example.

Ian also claims to have founded the Quack Pack, but little does he know - The other four members of the QP spent a while talking in the HOH deciding on who to bring in as the fifth member. The finally decided on Ian cause they thought (and rightly so) that Britney and Dan had the greatest influence over him. They decided to let Ian name the QP to make him think he wasn't the fifth member of the alliance. Ian, (and a lot of his fans) , gives himself too much credit. JMO

I watched Ian, Dan & Dani on The Talk today ... it was a brief interview and I wish it were longer :( ... but I digress ;) ... One of the first things that was discussed was a piece of paper taken from Ian's belonging (by the show) before he entered the house detailing his "strategy" ... it was blown up for the viewers to see and Ian explained it ... his strategy before entering the house was exactly how he played his game while in the house - everything from forming an alliance with 5 people, to what type of people he would pick to be in his alliance, to HOH competitions, etc. ... it confirmed to me that Ian was definitely not a floater ... he just totally had a game plan and he followed it to a T ...

I really wish Julie had more time to ask them more questions today :(, but I guess I will just have to wait to read their books ;) ... It was definitely a good season and a great finale ... :)
