Does anyone else do this. Dh and I call Soarin "Snoring" because we find it so boring. Does your family have any?

I do not have an nicknames for rides and Soarin' is certainly not snorin' to me - LOL.

My cousin came back from Disneyland without having done any planning and calls it Disneyline - LOL.

We don't really have any nicknames, but we do call a lot of the rides by their former names such as: Wed Way People Mover, Countdown to Extinction, Etc :)

Not a ride, but we have called Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe "Rocket Dogs" for the LONGEST time! I accidentally called it that once 14 years ago, and the name just stuck!:)

"Primeval Hurl" *

*Not mine- stolen from a popular trip reporter, but I still use it all the time

We call Disney World "Dizzy Wirl" because that's how my son used to pronounce it when he was a toddler.

Festival of the Lion King is called "The Simba Show"

Its Tough to Be a Bug is called "The Bug's Life Show"

Kilimanjaro Safarai is called "The truck ride through the desert" or shortened to the "Desert ride" because my son called it a desert instead of a safari.

Spaceship Earth is "the gulf ball"

Fantasmic is "Mickey fights the dragon."

Expedition Everest is "Yeti Mountain"

Most of the ride names started out when my son referred to them in his own terminology and the name just stuck.

When DS was 2 he couldn't remember the full name of the TTA (Tomorrowland Transit Authority). He called it "The Transporter." He's 9 now and we still call it that!

Also, Primeval Whirl = Hurl a Whirl

When we walked off Stitch's Great Escape, my oldest DS called it "The Inner Circle of H*ll" :rotfl2:

DS calls BTMRR the "Runaway Mine Train" because he is obsessed with the fact that it has no engineer driving it.

Same here.

Although I do sometimes refer to the Stitch attraction as "Chili breath adventure" or something like that.

At DCA; Mickey's Fun Wheel is Mickey's Wheel of Death
In Epcot (as you enter); the tomb of the unknown tourist

PrimEVIL HURL (Primeval Whirl)

People Mover (TTA)

Graveyard (Leave a Legacy)

Buzz (Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin)

My firend kept calling the Carousel of Progress tha "Carousel of Tomorrow," so I call it that sometimes.

We call Splash Mountain "Brer". But mainly that is the name we have given the smell of the log/flume you ride in. They stink of sweat and body odor mixed with cholorinated water. GROSS!!

The Noodle for Expedition Everest...our DS called it that because when we said Yeti, he thought we said Sghetti (short for spaghetti to him) and he wanted to ride the Noodle ever since. That was about 4 years ago so we still call it that.

DS calls the RNR the Forum, from Aerosmith shouting "To the Forum" in the ride video.

But mostly, WDW is forever ging to be DINNEYSWIRL to us...our little man called it that at age 2 when he asked to go back for his birthday.
