Hi there readers! Once again, I am so sorry about my two week-ish absence from the DIS- a lot has been going on!
For example, you may notice a new ticker in my signature! That is because Allie (princessallie) has so graciously invited me to go to Disney with her and her parents in July!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! So I'll basically be spending the whole summer at Disney ONCE AGAIN! YAYY!!!! I can't WAIT.
Here's an update for all of you patient and loyal souls!
After the boys woke up and we all got ready, we headed down to the bus stop and waited only a couple minutes for a bus back to DHS.
We got there at about 4:45 and headed through the turnstyles.
I seriously have a newfound love for Hollywood Studios. Now that I can accept that it is no longer MGM, I really love walking down Hollywood Boulevard and seeing Streetmosphere and all the colors and sights. Ahh I just love it so very much!
We turned down Sunset and decided to see what thrills could claim our attention.
This looks good! Especially because it was only a 20 minute wait!
Mike and I hopped in line (Dave doesn't do freefalls) and moved through the queue pretty quickly.
When we got inside, we found the place abandoned!
Uh-oh.
Foreshadowing...? Maybe!
We were then ushered into the library where an incredibly creepy Cast Member decided it would be funny to creep up behind me and breathe on my neck. Did I say creepy? Okay good. Well, this particular Cast Member did not seem to be aware that I'd put up with an incredibly sneaky brother for 16 years. Therefore, this attempt at frightening me had no effect on me whatsoever, except for that I turned around and laughed at him. It wass all rather hysterical.
Then the power went out except for the TV and we watched this little film:
It was really quite amusing.
Afterward, we were ushered into a rather dank boiler room and told to follow either walkway. A little while later we were seated in an elevator...?
Now really, if you honestly want me to believe that I am headed to my hotel room, but will unfortunately get electrocuted and die on the way, don't sit me down and strap me in.
Just a little advice.
We tugged on the yellow strap on our left as per usual and were told to enjoy our stay.
Then we had the absolute thrill of our lives dropping to the basement of the Hollywood Tower Hotel and that was that!
Thrilling, I know.
AWESOME.
I love that ride so much. It really never gets old.
Here's our ride photograph:
I'm the one making the princess face. Tehee.
Then we exited through the gift shop and met up with Dave. We decided to head to Star Tours to use our Fastpasses.
On the way...
I love that fountain!
Disney Channel Rocks!...? I think...? Okay not really at ALL.
Oh well.
I really love all the random stuff in Hollywood. Like this boat. It seems like it should be out of place, but it's not!
FINALLY.
Mike was like peeing his pants at this point. He couldn't wait to "Ride that puppy." He's a Star Wars geek and heard so much about the new refurb that he was jumping out of skin wanting to get on the ride ASAP.
Thank God for those Fastpasses eh?
I was pretty excited myself!
It. Was. AWESOME. It definitely lived up to our expectations and then some. It was so REAL. I can't even explain it, but for those of you who have ridden it, you know what I mean! And those of you who haven't yet, you're in for something AMAZING.
After completing our mission with R2D2 and the gang, we made a pit stop at the Writer's Stop before dinner for some A/C, comfy chairs, reading material....well okay that was my incentive, but really Dave just needed to call the movers for his house and Mike wanted to touch base with Katie.
So I grabbed myself a nice comfy armchair by the TV and caught up on the trip journal. I didn't even get anything to eat! Like a carrot cake cookie...mmmm. You'll see why soon enough!
I also snatched up this bad boy:
And perused it a bit. It's about a real live princess don'tcha know!
As soon as the boys were done with their respective conversations, which I have to admit took a WHILE...ahem *Mike* ahem...it was time to head to our 6:45 dinner ADR!
