~~~Exchangers Meet!! cancelled :-(

I'll be most likely traveling alone for the meet, but I just may stay through the following weekend, because DH could possibly join me on that next Thursday night. My exam schedule will be coming out next summer, and 90% of the time, I'll be giving an exam on Thursday (of the meet), but not on Friday, so in that case, I'll try to come Thursday night...to be there first thing Friday morning. If I have an exam to give on Friday....well, that moves me back a day.

I'm going to make my reservation as if we are going to attend, and hopefully I can get away from work. If I can't then I'll have to cancel early enough that I won't lose any of my points.

We aren't changing our plans....unless of course something unexpected comes up....so I guess we just wait for the planning to see what activities we do, until a bit before the 180 days.
So...look for a poll on activities in mid May or so.

Then we can tell if we need to exchanger plan or just meet up with whoever happens to be there at that time.

A few years ago in New Orleans(now they live in Pittsburgh) she was teaching math, computers, as well as reading. I hope the job market opens up for teachers soon!!!!

Yay Pittsburgh! What part do they live in?

How many will be coming to the exchangers meet with a family member/friend or traveling alone?

So far, I'm planning on coming by myself. Unless I can talk a friend who loves going into coming with me. We do the parks as a family in October, altho we may use our DVC for an island vaca over the summer next year. Not sure I'll have points left to use, but we'll see as it gets closer.

DS/DFDiL live in the Centerville area, at least that's the exit we take off the highway. It's a coincidence because we live in the Centerville/Washington Twn area here in Ohio!

Not sure what is happening with this meet. Interest seems to have waned.
We'll see how it is going by next spring.

Maybe it's just hard to keep the going for over 400 days! Here's hoping interest builds and builds to a frenzy as we get near the time to book!

Well with the house repairs that we were just hit with and John's job on the down swing again, I know I won't be making the meet.

The only reason this trip didn't get cancled is because everything is paid for.

If booking DVC rooms at home resorts, it's nearly time to be thinking seriously about this trip. I've penciled in the 10th to the 12th....VWL. It looks as if I will actually be staying in Orlando until the 19th, with DH coming in on the 16th.

We are planning on being there anyway. And yes, almost time to make those ressies!!

I was planning on attending, would love to see the Christmas lights, until we decided to do a Disney Cruise for our 25th Anniv. Just can't add another trip into our calendar. I was looking forward to the meet and meeting all my DIS friends, unfortunantly, I wouldn't be able to make it. I'm sorry for having to drop from the list of meet goers.

I think this is a wash and it is now offically canceled.
Sorry it didn't work out for enough people.

We will just have to arrange individual meets when people are there at the same time.

December was hard for me, but I do think I am going to WDW in early September--the Saturday before Labor Day (Sept. 3rd) until Sept. 9th. Hopefully I can meet someone then!

Yes, several times.....once at WDW years ago and then at a Chicago meet.
He sat around the hotel rooms with us and visited for a long time.
