Podcast Cruise 2.0 Thread FIVE

Hi all. It's been a while since I visited the DIS boards!

Sadly me and the husband won't be making the Podcast cruise

It's for a happy reason though - I am currently 20 weeks pregnant! We'll still be visiting WDW in November as part of our trip to the USA which we are REALLY excited about.

Just wanted to say hi and HAVE FUN to you all going on the cruise!

Thanks to everyone for the bday wishes It was a great weekend, now back to the grind ugggg. However, 48 days until we leave for our trip Getting our teeshirts made, door decorations done, fe gifts haven't even started, fe 1/2 way done..lots to do still. One month till the new Harry Potter movie! Thanks to dvcsince02 for getting the fe list posted! Thats a lot of work and now I can map my path.

What a nice son! And here my DD14 is mad because DD9 might get one for Christmas and she just got hers at age 13... Apparently I missed the rule that the younger kids are not allowed to get certain items if it's before the same age the eldest child got the same item.

My younger brother was always allowed to get stuff earlier than I was - I had to wait until I was 12 to get a TV in my room (it was a hand me down) and he got a new one when he was 10, having friends to sleep over - he was allowed to do it earlier than I was. But on the flip side I think the younger child always wants what the older one has right away and they don't understand they have to wait until a certain age, I think my parents just gave in to his whining

Good luck with that - I'm sure it will get worse

LOL! Well my DD9 probably will be upset that she's getting it because she's kinda OCD. She is one of those that if she's not suppose to do something til a certain age she doesn't want to. For example...we put her in cheerleading at 4 (she'd turn 5 in 2 months) and she was like 'I'm not suppose to cheer til I'm 5'. We tried to tell her they were OK because they knew she'd be turning 5 soon. So for 2 straight months she just stood during practice. The practice after she turned 5 she did EVERYTHING! And knew what to do too. Only difference with the Ipod is we've never said not until you are a certain age but rather not until you are responsible. She's had a reg. Ipod now for awhile so just thought we'd upgrade her.

30th Birthday today! It's been a great weekend. Friday night watched How to Train Your Dragon, awesome. Saturday mine and hubby's 6th wedding anniversary. Saw THe Social Network, great movie! Ate at a Teppanyaki restaurant. Sunday got together with family and friends for lunch. Today went to the zoo, great weather and then Cheesecake Factory! Wow...and six weeks until our trip.

Happy Anniversary to you and Adam Jessica.

Thanks....We had a wonderful honeymoon!!! It was just beautiful. Two weeks wasn't long enough. We'll be going back.

The leaves are starting to fall here. Our front yard probably has a bagful on it - of OUR NEIGHBOR's leaves!! They wait for the wind do their raking which blows it onto our yard.

Oh dear...don't give my neighbors any ideas...I have the biggest tree on our street....and when it drops leaves, they go EVERYWHERE...each fall, I bag up close to 20 bags of leaves

I don't have deciduous trees in my yard, only coniferous. Therefore, I should have no leaves. Last year I bagged 10 bags. And my yard is teeny tiny. No big deal, though. Gives me a reason to be outside. And the dogs run and jump in the leaves like I did when I was a kid. (And still would if the neighbours weren't so judgmental)

I can't believe it is so close! I still have so much to do to get ready. It was really tough convincing DGS to give me idea's of what he wanted from Santa when he just keeps telling me Santa knows... Really have to get these things bought before the trip since there will be nothing left when we get back from DisneyWorld.

Its all Megan is talking about she is excited and nervous about the cruise. When we got our tickets for MVMCP in the mail it really hit home for the kids that we are really going and soon!

I hear ya, me too...I'm waiting to get back from next week's trip, then I can start packing...and in the middle of it all, I have my surgery..that will keep me off of my feet for a week...I haven't even thought about Christmas...most everyone is getting gifts from Disney this year...

Rachael finally got excited the other day when I told her about Jody Benson being on the cruise and doing a concert for us...I laughed and said well it's about time..my daughter is the same way...not excited yet...one of these days soon, it will hit her just how close it is.
