I only saw one other post and see no meet thread for the one we are considerong--July 30th. My son has always wanted to see some stars when we are at WDW or on the cruise. Am I crazy to consider it?

I think they sound like a lot of fun! If we hadn't just cruised in April, I'd love to do one, but I am saving up for another long cruise in 2010 ;)

I am taking my DD9 on July 9th, along with a friend (Degrapevine) and her DD9!

We just got off the Magic on 6/13 - we need more cruise therapy!

bumping for any new info on these cruises

on the July 30th they removed 2 of the "stars" and have not replaced them with anyone

We're also doing the July 9. I booked last year before I heard anything about this, so it's a bonus I guess.
I'm glad my daughter gets to see some 'stars' that she's familiar with, but I really hope this doesn't disrupt the cruise or cause us to miss some of the activities we've been hearing about.

we are not going until July 30th so please post your experience when you return--are you on the sailing with Corbin?

Yes, we are ... and we are so excited! This is a surprise cruise for our daughters ... AbsyBabsy and I are travelling with our two girls who became fast friends on our Eastern cruise on the Magic a few weeks ago. (I know, I know - How strange to be cruising with someone you just met - But we get along great and the girls really enjoy being together.) They have no idea we are going and just think that we are visiting for the weekend! How surprised they will be when we get in the car to "visit" the Wonder sailing off on Thursday and head to the port instead. This is the July 9th cruise with Corbin Bleu as the musical guest. The "other three" actors from Sonny with a Chance (not Demi Lovato) will be there, along with one of the actors from Camp Rock. But CB is who I'm looking forward to seeing! We'll be sure to post the details after we return. Now, I've just got to keep my lips zipped for the next two weeks!

I'm surprised I have not read anything here about these cruises-or anyone, other than you being excited.

Your cruise is the one I would have liked to do, but Brandon has karate camp that week.

Have a great time!! We just got off the Magic Saturday

Thanks, Beth!

I think I'm more excited about surprising my DD than anything else! Gina, her friend Abi, Abi's mom Amanda (AbsyBabsy) and I were able to book in a Cat 12 for less than $1400 with the Kids Half Off deal. We were thinking about booking it before CB signed on, but once he was added to the list of "stars," we figured, why not? I know that we are blessed living in FL (Although it's hard to agree with that with the heat lately!) and that we can just jump in the car and head to the port. If we had to figure in airfare and hotel stays, we wouldn't be able to cruise as often as we do.

I think the energy of all the kids on the cruise will be great! Of course, I am a substitute teacher (former elementary music), so I guess I'm used to lots of excited kids. I think CB was great in the HSM movies (I Don't Dance is one of my fav songs) and think he is one "child" star who is maturing into an adult nicely. My DD has never been to a "real" concert, so this will be a fun way to share one with her. I'm not sure how crazy the autograph signing and photo sessions will be, but I'm hoping we can do as many of the special extras they offer on the cruise without missing our "regular" favorites.

We'll be sure to post details when we return, since we're on the first of these special cruises this summer!

Rose :)

I am booked for the July 30th. It was the only one I could do and just to see some performers I am sure will be a real treat for my daughter. I was also on the 6/13 Western. :thumbsup2

hi there---we are still making up our mind on what cat to get--

is your daughter excited?? Glad to see you over here-I thought we would only have two families on the ship. I know shorter cruises do not have the same big threads going here, but I was surprised to not see any thread. I'm sure you enjoyed the June 13th cruise--I know we did.

I did. I had some health issues but it was still real fun. My daughter is excited, but she tends to wait until closer to the time to get overly excited. I think it still seems far off to her. LOL.

Hope you are totally recovered and feling 100% for this cruise. Are you doing WDW too? We are flying in the night before and trying to decide where to stay close to the port. On Sunday we are Going to WDW and spending the night at VWL on our points. I was lucky to get great airfare on SW. It will be Brandon, my sister-in-law, Mary Beth, and myself-so if you are looking for someone to hang out with in the evening we are available!

hopefully anyone on any of the summer at sea cruises have fun. I think it would be cool to go on one, but I won't book one because I know it would prob not be the best trip. After seeing Demi Lovato and Jonas Brothers I said I would never see a Disney named person again as long as I lived.

That is sweet of you! I will be flying in around 7 the night before the cruise and staying at the Hyatt and taking the transfers in the morning to the cruise and then flying back out right after. I wish I was staying longer, that would be great!

we were thinking of staying near the port because we wanted to get there early and see how much an upgrade would cost us--I did consider the Hyatt, but did not know what time the bus to the port would be

well, it was worse then a FOB show, with all the little girls screaming. Demi Lovato I saw at bamboozle in Giants Stadium parking lot which wasn't all too bad, because there was pushing and shoving and after that all the girls there left so great just the screaming hurt my ears, they can scream, and one of the Jonas Brothers were on stage and all the girls were like I love you. It was like a group of 20 girls 13-10 I'd say that were loud and just annoying. Same when I saw a Jonas Brothers song(before they were famous) they played bamboozle and every girl was screaming, can't stand those screaming girls:lmao:, other then that they were good.

That's why I brought ear plugs when we went to the Hannah Montana concert! Over 2 hours of constant screaming!!!:scared1:
