We've hit our first big stumbling block- Roberts mam and dad have just realised they're away next weekend when we come back from DLRP and as a result, we have no way of getting back to their house! We would book a taxi, but we don't know what time we'll be getting back....

Out of interest, how does your coach get from UK to France? Are you lucky enough to take the ferry, or could you be affected by the tunnel problems?

uh oh! How far of a travel time is it to their house? is it like in Bavaria where there is one fellow who drives the one taxi in town, and if one calls while he is eating dinner one has to wait until he is done eating and done digesting??

I'm just annoyed with them because we asked them when we booked the holiday if they had any plans for that weekend and they said no.......

Coach goes by ferry, so we should be fine...........

Its not a long long way, but because it's a Friday night we don't fancy our chances walking along through the town centre that late at night......

There's loads of taxis, but you need to book them well in advance for late on Friday........... Certainly not as bad as only one of them!!

Are you not able to ring and book a taxi when you say are about a hour away from your destination?

Not really....... In you need to have booked your Taxi well in advance of going out on Fridays.... We've never had luck getting Taxis on Friday, and thats by ringing the day before!!!

Its not a long walk really, it would be a pain in the ar*e with cases and things though........ Plus, the walk up to Roberts house can be a bit hazardous at that time of night...
