Here is proof positive that the DVC needs to hire CaskBill, and now! Jim Lewis if you're reading this thread, contact him.

What follows is an untouched actual screen capture from my laptop. I'm using the DVC wallpaper.

PLEASE NOTICE THE NUMBER OF DAYS REMAINING IN MY TRIP.

BTW, I did not edit or manipulate this screen shot in any way!

Disney's gain would definitely be our loss...at least be sure this doesn't happen before Caskbill updates his program to include AKV points - I'd be so lost without his program and I am already anxiously awaiting the (hoped for) update!!

I agree! :thumbsup2 He's a genius! It would be great to have him working on the 'inside'. DIS Secret Agent Man! :goodvibes

ITA as well he makes life so easy for us even those who don't have that many points. It's nice to call MS and know what they are going to repeat back to you without having to tink about it.

Tony is the Countdown in one of the programs out or is it a new one ????

Is it the DVC tracker???

Neat, but where did you get the wallpaper and the countdown??

Another voice in praise of CaskBill!

Yup, I bet with CaskBill on board, the point morphing issues in the DVC software but gone within a day! :cool1:

Hey guys!

 I love CaaskBill too!

But ya'all did notice 1 month and 32 days remaining right?

:teacher:I mean, it is not even a leap year, so it isn't February with 32 days, right?:teacher:

The Disney DVC Wall Paper comes from the member site.

Click on Just for members in the upper right area of the menu bar, after logging in.

Then choose Refer a Friend in the menu list that opens.

Finally click on Free Member Downloads near the bottom of the page.

The wallpaper is there in various sizes.

I did not post a direct link, because it is in the secure area of the DVC Members website.

Enjoy!

When is your trip? If it is April 7, then the countdown is right, just weird.

Otherwise, it is MESSED up. LOL

No, the date is correct.

I'm just used to 2 months & 1 day, instead of 1 month and 32 days, since I'm not aware of any months longer than 31 days. I wouldn't mind 63 days and no months.

But it's kinda like saying 1 cup & 3/2 cups flour, intead of 2-1/2 cups of flour. It just struck me as poor programing, but I guess I'm the only one....sigh

It's just too early in the morning for me. :confused3 I'm not fully functioning until I've had AT LEAST two cups of coffee...

-Michelle

P.S. Besides, it's -8 below here and all available brain power is going to keeping warm!

Tony....nope, you're not the only one! Maybe they let Goofy do the programming on this one?

The good news is that in a couple of days it will be tracking normally. ;)

Maybe Disney figures that people will be happier if their countdown always shows 1 month plus a bunch of days. Let's see....I'm 1 month and 192 days until my next trip.

Nope, doesn't help. :rotfl2:

As for hiring Caskbill, I'm all for that as long as he's not in charge of spelling savanna(h)! :)

LOL! No, I agree with you that it is MESSED UP. I just wanted to be sure it was a correct countdown.

You are right to be bothered, I mean, isn't it the JOB of a countdown to make it so we don't have to count days? GEESH.

Reminds me of the "Friends" episode when Monica stated her age to a younger man as 27 and 14 months. :happytv:

No you're not the only one -- noticed it right away and thought it was pretty strange. I hope the software developer responsible is also monitoring these boards so he/she knows there is a bug!

I don't see a problem with it...wasn't your check-in date the 12th of Never?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

 I actually thought about that commercial when the whole hug thing came up ... I guess the commercial did its job ;)
