We're supposed to be getting another cold spell here in Baton Rouge this week. Tonight it supposed to get down to 25. Way too cold for BR.

Last we saw we are supposed to get down to 29 so this after noon I have to remember to cover plants

My MIL is part of the problem..she thinks the sun rises and sets with him...and then SHE tells the kids.... my kids are now starting to get wise though...I heard her say something to them and thier reply....'we already have an Uncle John, and we like him because he doesn't lie' (both my brother and my DH's brother is named John)
It broke my heart, but I think she realized she shouldn't tell them he is coming to visit anymore.

Sounds familiar! The golden child syndrome!

That's crazy! What a weird winter. It's finally cold here, but it took all winter til last week to get some real winter temperatures here! Still no snow!!! I love snow!

I saw on the weather channel that your area should have snow in the forecast for this week sometime

You are just Frugal....I'm the same way...it has to be a deal(at least in my own mind)...I am pretty good at convincing hubby I got a good deal. He just "yes's" me a lot! Like every good husband should do!

Frugal...I like that!!! and my hubby 'yes's' me too..... than again, it's probably self defense...I can talk more than Kathy if I put my mind to it

We hit the low teen's the other day....with 25MPH winds!! The wind chill was around -10...... I am definately ready for spring. Maybe if we wish hard enough it will happen

I don't like it when I'm the only one up. Kim fusses at me on Sunday mornings. She says I'm too noisy. I try to be quiet, but still end up waking her up anyways. But this morning She got up before me. Most mornings though, I'm greated by our dog Roxie with a wet tongue right across the face telling me "I gotta go outside daddy"

Boy that is just as bad as my cat using me as her early morning race track

Just flurries. If it doesn't stick, it doesn't count! I want like a foot of snow so I can go sledding and build snow peeps!

We were just eliminated. A bit relieved. Although they are holding an essay contest to get an individual back into the game, and there are a few essays out there for me. So we will see what happens.
